The Town of Springfield has one Board of Adjustment vacancy which the Town is required to fill. Individuals wanting to apply for the vacancy must be a resident of the Town of Springfield. The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial board that hears appeals, variances and conditional use request from the Town's zoning regulations as specified under the Colorado Revised Statues. Members of the Board of Adjustment are appointed by the Town of Springfield Board of Trustees. There is a total of five members on the Board of Adjustment and public meetings are called when a request for a hearing has been made. Water/Wastewater Department Opening - The Town of Springfield is seeking a motivated person to fill a position in the Water/Wastewater Department. A certified water/wastewater operator is preferred. Knowledge in water/wastewater field desired but training will be available to obtain water/wastewater certification. Must be at least 21 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid drivers license and maintain a good driving record. Successful applicant will be required to have a valid CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months. Be able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening and chosen applicant will be enrolled in a Federal DOT regulated drug testing pool. This is a regular full-time position. Park Maintenance Opening - The Town of Springfield is accepting applications for a seasonal part-time park maintenance laborer with the Town Public Works Department. Salary: $11 per hour/ 25 hours per week beginning immediately until October 31, 2018. Essential job functions include operating lawn machinery, mowing, edging, weed eradication, cleaning of public restrooms, trash cleaning, and general maintenance of the town's parks. Landfill Operator Opening - The Town of Springfield is seeking an enthusiastic individual that will be working as a part-time landfill operator. This individual will be required to operate heavy equipment, accurately measure incoming loads, and charge customers per established landfill rates.
