🚫🔥 No General Burning Permit in Effect – No Burning Allowed 🔥🚫

The Town of Springfield currently does NOT have a general burning permit in place. This means NO BURNING of any kind is allowed within town limits at this time.

The Town typically opens burning permits a couple of times each year; however, current conditions remain extremely dry, and we do not feel it is safe to allow burning at this time. Even during permitted times, only yard debris may be burned — never trash or lumber.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep our community safe. We will notify residents, with proper procedures to take, if conditions improve and a permit is approved. For now, if you see smoke in town, please call it in!

If you have questions, please contact Town Hall. We can be reached at 719-523-4528.
