Help us keep Springfield moving forward — your voice matters!

Tyler has always exemplified what it means to be involved. Whatever the Town of Springfield had going on, you could be sure that Tyler was there—ready to lend a helping hand. Employees and residents alike found him approachable, dependable, and a shining example of democracy in action.
Even in his resignation, he remains a true son of the community that raised him—always focused on leading it toward the next great and right decision. These are all traits that will serve him well in his new role as County Judge for the Colorado 15th Judicial District.
While we are saddened to say goodbye to Mayor Tyler Gibson, please join us in congratulating Judge Tyler Gibson as he begins this next chapter of his life.
The board has officially declared a vacancy and letters of interest are due by September 2, 2025. In the meantime, please wish Interim Mayor Wittler the best of luck as he continues the legacy Former Mayor Gibson leaves behind.

Last day of the season? Also yep.
Come hang out at the pool today from 1–6 PM - The Town of Springfield is covering your admission! It’s your final chance to soak up the 2025 swim season before we drain the fun away.

The Springfield Swimming Pool is now open and ready for you to take advantage of any free swimming passes you may be hanging on to before they expire with the end of the swim season!
We’re down to our final 3 days of splashes, cannonballs, and soaking up the sun at the Springfield Pool! 🌞💦
Come cool off Monday through Wednesday (July 28–30) from 1PM to 6PM. It’s your last chance to swim like nobody’s watching (or to show off that perfect dive 🏊♀️).
Let’s make these final days count—see you at the pool!

Round 2 is on for tonight... If the weather decides to cooperate, the crew is planning to fog for mosquitos about 9:00 PM tonight, July 24, 2025.

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding — every little bit helps!
Chemical levels in the pool were spiked to ensure proper cleaning after yesterday's closure. Those levels are on their way back down to safe swimming levels, and while they are not quite there for our wonderful ladies, they should be good by this afternoon's open swim.
If you have questions, please call 719-523-4528.
🚨 Wednesday, July 30 is the FINAL DAY!! Please see the attached image for our final pool hours!
Note: Due to the upcoming Baca County Fair, we’re adjusting our schedule slightly—including a rare Monday opening—to better accommodate our lifeguards' fair commitments. Thanks for your understanding as we splash our way into the final week!
So grab your goggles, your sunscreen, and that one friend who still hasn’t been to the pool this summer—and come make one last splash with us before it is too late! 💦🌊
