📢 Attention, Springfield residents! 🐾
We need to seriously discuss responsible pet ownership. For some time now, stray animals and overcrowding pounds have been a serious issue in our Town. This not only burdens our local law enforcement but also leads to unfortunate circumstances for these innocent creatures. It's time for us to step up and take action!
If you have a furry friend at home and you cannot provide the necessary care and attention to their offspring, you must take the responsible route and get your animals fixed. Spaying or neutering your pets is not only a compassionate choice but also an essential step in preventing the overpopulation of animals in our community.
By fixing your pets, you are ensuring that they won't contribute to the overwhelming number of homeless animals. This will alleviate the strain on our local pounds and help maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone in Springfield. If you cannot financially afford to do so, please contact the Town, and we will connect you with the proper resources.
Remember, pet ownership is a lifelong commitment. We must provide love, care, and a secure home for our furry companions. If you cannot care for a litter of puppies or kittens, please get in touch with local animal shelters or rescue organizations. They are equipped to handle these situations and can find loving homes for these precious animals.
Let's work together, Springfield, to be responsible pet owners and make a positive impact on our furry friends' lives. 🐾❤️ Together, we can create a community where every pet is loved, protected, and given the care it deserves!

The Town of Springfield Landfill will be closed today March 23, 2024 due to high winds.

The storm may have brought challenges and hardships, but it also showcased the resilience and bravery of our incredible first responders. Today, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to all those who served and continue to serve our community during and after the blizzard.
As we work together to recover from the aftermath of the blizzard, let us remember the importance of kindness and compassion.
