Due to muddy conditions, the landfill will be closed today November 13th, 2024.

Due to the recent moisture we have received and the moisture we are forecasted to received in the beginning of next week, we are unfortunately postponing our Cedar Street resurfacing project until Spring of 2025.
This is not the update we wanted to be providing you, however for the best results of the project, we need the road base to be as dry as possible. We had hoped out typical fall weather would provide a dry window to accomplish this project but it does not seem like we will be able to find that window.
We appreciate your patience while we have tried to navigate our ever-changing weather the past few weeks and we will reach back out to you in the spring when we are ready to start this project again.

Due to the forecasted weather for Thursday November 7, 2024 and Friday November 8, 2024 we will unfortunately have to postpone our planned Cedar Street demolition until November 12, 2024. The project timeline will remain the same, but with the later start date

We are pleased to announce that the Town of Springfield will be resurfacing Cedar Street starting November 4th, 2024. This project is part of our ongoing efforts to improve our community's infrastructure and enhance safety for all residents.
The resurfacing will take place in two phases:
1. Phase One: Removal of the existing surface.
2. Phase Two: Replacement of the new surface.
While the actual construction work is underway, no parking will be permitted on Cedar Street to ensure the safety of both the workers and residents. However, parking will be allowed between these two phases, once the existing surface has been removed and before the new surface is laid down.
We anticipate the entire project will take approximately two to three weeks to complete. Your cooperation in adhering to the parking restrictions during the construction phases is greatly appreciated, as it will help us complete the work efficiently and effectively.
If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us at 719-523-4528.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this important project.
